Known for the famous D-Day landings during World War 2, Normandy has many long stretches of beach that are full of history and memory from the war. The famous WW2 cemetery and a number of museums ensure the war is remembered here in an extremely respectful way.
Mont St.Michelle is the second most popular tourist attraction in the whole of France after the Eiffel tower and is a real must see for anyone visiting this area of the country. The traditions that still exist here are marvellous and will be enjoyed by those of all ages.

The beaches around the coast offer plenty of opportunities to surf and enjoy the water, while there are also numerous bike rides and walks that you can take in order to explore the countryside. The picturesque towns and villages that dot the ‘flower coast’ and stretch further-inland are postcard-perfect and are excellent places to visit in order to enjoy the sights of traditional France.
There are a whole host of wonderful artistic centres around the region of Normandy. Giverny plays host to the American Art Museum and is also the home of Monet, the world-renowned artist that has inspired many to take up their brush over hundreds of years. The gardens at his former home are also worth a visit if you’d like to experience the scenery that inspired some of the most famous paintings the world has ever seen.
