On the west coast of France, Brittany encompasses many of the small but popular towns in the north of the country. Three different languages are spoken in Brittany, ranging from French to Breton and Gallo. Breton, which originated from immigrants from the south of Britain in the 5th and 6th Centuries and Gallo, a language that comes from the language spoken in Roman Gaul hundreds of years ago are both dialects spoken by the locals intermittently.
