Perfect for families or a group of friends, this lovely, light-filled holiday home is within 1 mile of pretty Southwold and the magical Suffolk coast. Thoughtful details include extra-wide doorways to most rooms, low-profile thresholds to the outside and showers with a low threshold. Southwold is within a pleasant, 1-mile walk or short drive away and there is also a handy bus stop just 18 metres from your holiday home. The main attractions are within easy reach of the lively town centre, with its fine period houses and colourful fishermen’s cottages. They include the sandy, family-friendly beach, delightful Edwardian pier, with its water clock, and Southwold’s famous working lighthouse. Enjoy a carriage ride through Southwold drawn by two magnificent Shire horses and treat yourself to a fresh-caught fish supper at one of the many cafes and restaurants. A visit to the RSPB’s Nature Reserve at Minsmere (11.6 miles) is a great day out. Nearer to home, explore beautiful Reydon Woods, a 16-hectare nature reserve with ancient, coppiced woodland, famous for its bluebells in the spring.

The entrance door opens to a wide hallway and a wonderful open-plan dining area. This houses a large wooden table and eight stylish and comfortable chairs from where guests can watch the Smart TV. From here, a door leads to an outdoor patio. The open-plan layout continues with a superb contemporary kitchen which features a central island and two bar stools. Decorative pendant lights above the island, a small atrium and pretty leaded light windows make this a light and airy space. The spacious sitting room is also bright and light, with a large wall of bi-folding doors opening onto the garden. There are three large and comfortable sofas and an impressive wood burner, together with a Smart TV. Each of the four bedrooms is beautifully furnished. The splendid master bedroom has a king-size bed and a sumptuous en-suite bathroom, with a bath, low-profile shower cubicle and WC. A second king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom share access to a Jack and Jill double-head shower cubicle, and WC. The fourth bedroom is a twin, with an en-suite low profile, double-head shower room and WC. There is also a separate cloakroom with a WC.

A patio outside the living room has attractive outdoor furniture and overlooks a large, private garden and lawn. A second patio at the side of the bungalow has a table, chairs and a BBQ.

The bungalow is spacious, modern, well appointed, with attractive decor and furnishings. The garden is mature and pleasant and the whole property is not overlooked. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.

A really spacious, comfortable cottage, with a fabulously equipped kitchen. We all had a lovely holiday. What a wonderful treat to buy fresh fish from the shores of Aldeburgh and cook up a feast...ate the best mackerel and kippers! Would highly recommend. Thanks!

Generally speaking the bungalow was ideal with plenty of equipment, although only supplying one toilet roll per bathroom for a week was a bit annoying. The loft hatch opening on its own in the middle of the night was dangerous and did damage the wall, but the staff dealt with the problem immediately and courteously.

A lovely property in a good location to visit the surrounding area A few issues - dust in many areas of the property, and a very strong smell of sewage from the bathroom areas. This was helped by opening the windows but 3 did not have windows
