The location is perfect for discovering all the rich history, culture and natural landscapes of the Herefordshire countryside and the Wye Valley. The rural hamlet of Rudhall is an ideal base to explore the Wye Valley (4 miles) on foot, by bicycle or on the water.

The characterful mill, set over three floors, has beautiful exposed wooden beams and brickwork around the fireplaces, creating a unique ambience to unwind together. Downstairs hosts a welcoming kitchen/breakfast room perfectly equipped to make meal preparation a breeze, whether rustling up a brunch or a celebratory feast. The large dining room can seat ten guests, perfect for a celebration supper. From here, double glass doors open into the spacious lounge where you can relax in the plush seating, chat with friends and family, or watch a film together on TV. Double doors lead onto a garden terrace so you can spill out to enjoy the evening sun. A games room is ideal for competitive fun or for lounging on the large corner sofa near the wood burner. There is a bunk bed with a shower room downstairs for children aged up to 16 years. Stairs from the hallway lead to the first floor with a contemporary shower room and three bedrooms: one king-size with an en-suite bathroom and two doubles. On the second floor is a bathroom and two double bedrooms, one with lake views. The extensive gardens are a treat, boasting a large wildlife lake, an arboretum and a park walk. The beauty of the Wye Valley is possibly best appreciated from the water, so plan a day of canoeing from Monmouth (12.5 miles) or Ross-on-Wye (4 miles) or take a boat trip from Symonds Yat (9 miles) to get a flavour of this stunning landscape. The magnificent Raglan Castle (20 miles) is the perfect place to learn about the area's history. For a nature walk and a beautiful picnic spot with a view, head to Coppett Hill (8 miles) and enjoy the scenery across the Malverns and Brecon Beacons.

A lovely, well equipped house perfect for a big family reunion. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was much appreciated. Ian was very helpful and was at the end of the phone to sort out any problems we encountered.

Absolutely lovely, a perfect location and beautiful property. There were 11 of us aged from 3 to 80 everyone had a fantastic time. The walk around the lake and grounds on a frosty morning is definitely recommended.

This was a beautiful large house with lots of spare beds throughout! The garden was fabulous! Itd be lovely in summer. The kitchen was a great hub for our gathering of friends. It was well equipped & clean. The lounge fire doors wouldnt shut properly which meant we missed out on relaxing by the fire! It was a perfect spot for a countryside walk intRead moreo Ross. The Mill is really lovely and the grounds are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed spending a family get together in this large and comfortable property. Overall, it was really well equipped, and in fantastic condition. Theres plenty to do on site and in the surrounding Wye valley although dont expect to catch many fish in the lake! The cottage was a delightful retreat! The cozy interior had a rustic charm, with comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen.
