Our love for France and all things French...

This blog has been inspired by two things that just so happen to be serendipitous; our love for France and all things French (regular readers will have noticed our passion for France) paired ever so chic-ly with our love of luxury villas in France.

We always get a little frisson of excitement when a new property joins the already burgeoning French sections of the website because it means that we have the chance to practise a little Français and learn about the next French area on our ever increasing “bucket lists” Or, “bouquet” lists as some prim and proper suburban housewives might prefer.

Our offering of Luxury villas in France is quite awe inspiring in its current state, we have chateaux and ski chalets, cottage estates and fairy-tale castles all within the beautiful hexagon that is France. Every property has its own style – what else would anyone expect from a French property? And each and every place has its own unique characteristics that make it special. Pools, wine cellars, central locations, countryside locations, luxury villas near to or in UNESCO World Heritage Sites; the list goes on.

One of our most recent luxury villas in France is Domaine De Lise which is near to the town of Béziers and just a few kilometres from the Mediterranean beaches (including a nudist one, if you dare!)

Another property that has recently joined us is the Chateau du Faure in La Gironde in South West France. This former wine estate is remarkable but the owners have created a wonderful luxury villa where you are able to enjoy a holiday and put on a concert. Yes, a concert. The property has an Erard 1869 grand piano, a rare Pleyel Duoclave double piano, and a full concert Steinway that used to belong to Alfred Brendel a renowned Austrian musician. The owners of the Chateau are also able to organise wine tastings at local vineyards or at some of the most prestigious vineyards in the area.
